York College is another college that offers a certificate at the end of its training program. This course is a nine week program that offers classroom skills and hand-on clinical training concerning venipuncture and safety procedures. In NYC, phlebotomy courses are also offered by American Red Cross facilities. These courses include 28 hours of classroom time broken into four hour sessions.
